FAQs
What exactly does Fulcrum Foundry do?
1
Think of me as the bridge between a rough idea and a finished physical part. I specialize in Technical Drafting (CAD) and Manufacturing Programming (CAM). I take your concepts and turn them into high-precision digital models and the G-code needed to actually machine them.
What is your professional background?
2
I’m a technician with a "shop-first" mentality. I’m currently finishing specialized training in CAD/CAM at Meridian Technology Center. I also hold a State Silver Medal in Automated Manufacturing Technology, which means I’ve been tested and ranked for my ability to turn designs into accurate, physical products under pressure.
What’s next for you and the Foundry?
3
Growth. I’m currently sharpening my technical skills in the shop, and in January 2027, I’ll be starting my Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) degree at Oklahoma State University. Everything I do at the Foundry is backed by a commitment to staying at the forefront of industrial design and engineering.
What files or information do I need to start a project?
4
It depends on where you are in the process! I can work from:
Rough Sketches: Hand-drawn ideas that need to be turned into professional blueprints.
Existing Parts: Physical items you need measured and modeled for replication.
Digital Files: I primarily work with .STEP, .SLDPRT, .DXF, and .STL files.
Do you handle the actual manufacturing?
5
My primary focus is the Design and Programming (the "Intelligence" of the build). I provide the precision files and toolpaths a machine shop needs to produce your part perfectly. However, because I understand the machining process, I design every part to be "manufacturable," saving you time and money on the shop floor.
